Lake Oroville and Flood Insurance

As the unfortunate events in Oroville unfold as I type, It’s a good time to remind everyone that FLOOD is NOT covered by your insurance policies.
As we in historically drought stricken California seem to have forgotten, when it rains here – it rains alot.  Flood Policies have a 30 DAY WAIT from the time the application is accepted, until when coverage begins.  For Businesses – We CAN get coverage for you for your Buildings, Contents, and Business Income coverage.  There is a lot left in this years rainy season, a ton of snow in the Sierras, the rivers are full, and the levees are soaked – so if you want to be protected this year – the time is now – because it’s going to take a month to go into effect
